From Street to Stage, Jam on the Groove Struts Its Stuff

Music, art, rap and dance come together in an explosive urban performance as Jam on the Groove shakes the stage at Zellerbach Auditorium with shows running April 30 through May 4.

Fourteen athletic dancers, with nicknames like "Mister Twister," "Speedy" and "Boogaloo Shrimp," celebrate street dance and music with sassy personalities and energetic choreography including break-dancing, moon-walking, hip-hop and African beat movement.

Performances April 30 through May 2 begin at 8 p.m.; May 3 at 2 and 8 p.m.; and May 4 at 3 p.m. All shows are in Zellerbach Hall. Tickets are $14/$20/$26 and can be purchased through Cal Performances by calling 642-9988.
