Obituaries

A memorial for Professor Arthur J. Quinn will be held Monday, Sept. 22, at 3:30 p.m., in the Great Hall of the Men's Faculty Club. A reception will follow.

Quinn was a member of the rhetoric department since 1970. He was also director of College Writing and a winner of the Distinguished Teaching Award.

Known for his books on a wide variety of subjects, he will be especially remembered as a historian of California.

He died at his home in Berkeley May 15.
