Feb. 18 Job Fair Will Showcase Campus Technical Openings

Posted February 3, 1999

Berkeley staff members, their friends and colleagues looking for technical jobs are invited to attend the campus's third annual Information Technology job fair, cosponsored by Human Resources and Information Systems & Technology (IST). The event will be held Thursday, Feb. 18, 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., in the International House auditorium.

"We all know how hard it is to find good information technology people," says technical recruiter Conrad Fernandes. "The job market all over the country is very tight, and Berkeley is especially affected by our proximity to Silicon Valley."

Current campus technical openings include computer resource manager, Oracle developer, network engineer and database administrator. Campus departments such as IST, the College of Engineering, and the Haas School of Business will showcase their openings at the job fair.

For information about the fair, see the Human Resources Web site at hrweb.berkeley.edu/hrjobs.htm or contact Conrad Fernandes at csf@uclink4.berkeley.edu.
