Among the nearly 4,000 attendees at Staff Appreciation Day, June 9, was 18-month old Jasmin Taylor, who captivated the crowd as Annie Howard and the Tee Fee Swamp Boogie Band played hot licks. Jasmin's mother, Pamela Taylor, personnel administrator for ESRC, and grandmother, campus ombudsperson Ella Wheaton, supplied encouragement from behind.

The event featured food, music, games and approximately 300 prizes with a value of nearly $10,000. Among the most coveted was a Hornblower Cruise for two, won by Alex Lew, Mail Services; a palm pilot, won by Celia Harper-Owens, Business and Administrative Services; and a central campus parking permit, won by Mary Lou Fowler, Financial and Business Services.
