Campus breast cancer resources

03 October 2001 |

Health*Matters at University Health Services is offering a new online program, “Berkeley Breast Cancer Connection,” which matches breast cancer survivors with those who have been recently diagnosed.

Two related forums are planned to coincide with Breast Cancer Awareness Month: “Faces of Breast Cancer,” a panel discussion facilitated Peg Berdahl, on Thursday, Oct. 11 and “Advances in Breast Cancer,” on Thursday, Oct. 18. Both begin at noon and take place in University House.

The campus’s Cal for Cure team is also gearing up for the annual Race for the Cure 5K run, which takes place Sunday, Oct. 21 in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park.

For information on Berkeley Breast Cancer Connection, October forums and Race for the Cure, visit the University Health Services home page, and look under “Updates.”
