03 April 2002 | Sophomore Natalie Coughlin has been named winner of the 2001-02 Honda Sports Award for swimming and diving, given annually to the nation's top collegiate female swimmer. A two-time NCAA Swimmer of the Year, Coughlin is also one of five finalists for the Sullivan Award, given to the nation's top amateur athlete. The winner will be announced April 9 in New York City.
