Cal's rugby team won its 12th straight national title this past weekend, when it rumbled past Utah 43-22 in Virginia Beach, Va. The victory caps a stellar year for the Bears, who ended the season with an undefeated record of 19-0. In Sunday's game, the team jumped to an early lead against Utah, with Eric Andersen scoring just one minute into the match. The Bears sustained this momentum throughout the match, scoring 21 points in the first half and 22 in the second. Team captain Kort Schubert, left, was voted most valuable player of the championship. This is the 19th time the Bears have won the national tournament, which began in 1980.
