“What God hath joined together no man shall put asunder; God will take care of that.” That’s but one of the observations on wedlock pronounced by the characters in George Bernard Shaw’s Getting Married, which begins a 10-day run at the campus’s Durham Studio Theater on Nov. 14. The play is presented by the Department of Theater, Dance, and Performance Studies, and directed by Barbara Oliver, artistic director of Berkeley’s Aurora Theatre (where she’s made a specialty of mounting Shavian productions). The cast includes (left to right) Lura Dolas, Alex Teicheira, and Chris Herold.

Performances are Friday and Saturday nights at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. Tickets ($14 general, $10 faculty/staff, $8 students/seniors) may be purchased by phone at TicketWeb (866/468-3399), online at www.ticketweb.com (search for UC Berkeley), or at the door.
