Half- and Full-Day Camps

A wide variety of hands-on science-exploration camps on themes including animals, dinosaurs, math, wizards, science theater, exploring the Bay, lights and lasers, electric gadgetry, geometry and digital art, and more. In addition, Science & Sports Camps (S2) are full-day camps offered by LHS in collaboration with Cal Youth and Outdoor Programs. Register for the S2 Camps at www.oski.org/html/scra_scisports2.htm

YEAH (Young Entrepreneurs at Haas School of Business)
Saturday Business Academy prepares 9th-and 10th-grade students for academic and economic success through fun and challenging entrepreneurship, economics, and finance projects. Preference given to youth who come from low-income families, attend public schools, and/or would be the first in their family to graduate from a four-year college.
Dates: Two weeks in summer and two Saturday mornings monthly during school year. (See Website, www.haas.berkeley.edu/yeah/, for dates.)

Summer Camps at University Village
Sports camps for boys and girls in baseball, basketball, soccer (the latter also offered over Spring Break, ages 6-14), gymnastics, skateboarding, fencing, outdoor adventures, and more.

Elementary Division
Outstanding K-6 students are invited to a three-week summer session at Castro Elementary School in El Cerrito.
Dates: July 12-July 30 (3 weeks)
Times: Morning (8:30 a.m.-noon)
or afternoon (1-4:30 p.m). For an extra fee, campers may attend an on-site half-day sports camp sponsored by Cal Youth and Outdoor Programs.
Level: Grades K-6
Fees: Processing: $30 (non-refundable); tuition and materials: $405-$425; sibling discount: $25 per student (not including processing fee)
Application Deadlines: Postmark deadline for returning ED students: Monday, March 15; Postmark deadline for new ED applicants: Wednesday, March 31

Secondary Division
Academically talented students attend a six-week session of challenging summer classes.
Dates: June 21 to July 30 (6 weeks)
Level: Grades 7-11
Times: Morning (8:30 a.m.-noon) or afternoon (1-4:30 p.m.)
Weekly Schedule: 5-unit classes (2 days per week); 10-unit classes (3 days per week)
Fees: Processing fee, $30 (non-refundable); tuition, 5 units, $375; 10 units, $550; AP biology, $750; lab/materials, $32-$170
Application Deadlines: Postmark deadline for returning SD students: Tuesday, Feb. 17; Postmark deadline for new SD applicants: Monday, March 1
