Excerpts from '08 student commencement addresses at UC Berkeley

BERKELEY — At graduation ceremonies in May, some of UC Berkeley's most outstanding new graduates shared wit and wisdom, with messages reflecting the ups and downs of their personal lives and academic careers. The most common themes: Learn from your mistakes, embrace change, and anything is possible.
