A Free-Speech Anniversary Celebration

Five days of events marking the 30th anniversary of the Free Speech Movement are scheduled Wednesday, Nov. 30, through Sunday, Dec. 4, on campus and in the cities of Berkeley and Oakland.

The University community is invited to participate in the activities.

Chancellor Tien called the FSM "a complex, sometimes painful, but important chapter in the history of the campus." He welcomed alumni, faculty, students, and community leaders on campus during the commemoration.

On the schedule are poetry readings, films, panels, rallies, a hootenanny, a colloquium, dance, and picnic.
