NAS to Sponsor Science Frontiers Here Jan. 29

"Frontiers of Science," a symposium sponsored by the National Academy of Sciences, will be held on campus Monday, Jan. 29. Faculty and students are invited to attend and hear reports by members of the academy. Professor Daniel Koshland Jr. will be moderator

The symposium will be from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. in Sibley Auditorium with an overflow telecast in 10 Evans Hall. Free tickets are available at the Visitor Center, 101 University Hall.

Speakers include UCSF Professor Elizabeth Blackburn on cancer research, Chancellor Tien on microscale heat transfer, Berkeley Professor Peter Schultz on combinatorial chemistry and Stanford Professor Steven Chu on optical tweezers.
