School of Education Wins $1 Million Grant

The Graduate School of Education has been named as one of nine institutional recipients of research training grants from the Chicago-based Spencer Foundation. Its award is for $1 million.

"Improving education depends heavily upon developing new ideas that work," said Patricia Albjerg Graham, Spencer Foundation president, in announcing the awards.

The school will use the $1 million grant to enhance the quality of educational research, in part by providing fellowship support to doctoral students.
