Syndicated columnist and Berkeley visiting scholar Molly Ivins conversed with Ben Bagdikian, former dean of the Graduate School of Journalism, at a two-hour reception preceding Ivins' March 20 appearance at Zellerbach Auditorium. Sponsored by the School of Journalism, the evening featured Ivins in conversation with Douglas Foster, director of school affairs, discussing her upbringing, current politics and mainstream versus advocacy reporting. Ivins also fielded written questions from the audience.
