Taking Advantage of Change (for Employees). Sept. 5, 18, 30, Oct. 10 or 22. Fee: $75 (Payment must be received one week prior to date of workshop.)

Learn about key elements of the change process. Participants come away with a clear strategy for anticipating future changes, and for preparing to meet and embrace change, instead of resisting or simply reacting to it.

New Employee Orientation. Sept. 2 or 16, 8:30 a.m.- noon.

This orientation covers campus structure, campus culture, benefits, computer competency, and safety related issues.

Presentations addressing these issues are given by staff from the Berkeley Campus Police Department; Environment, Health and Safety; University Health Services; and the campus Benefits Office.

Competency-Based Interviewing. Sept. 5 and 17. Fee: $195 to cover course materials.

Learn how to determine the core competencies needed for successful job performance based on pre-identified selection criteria, while using the latest techniques in behavioral interviewing.
