Nominations Sought for this Year's Chancellor's Outstanding Staff Awards

Nominations for the 1998 Chancellor's Outstanding Staff Awards are open through Thursday, Sept. 17.

The award, one of the highest honors presented to staff by the Chancellor, recognizes exceptional achievement on the job and in carrying out the University's mission.

All Berkeley staff are eligible, both individuals and teams, except for executive-tier administrators, those with academic titles, and those who have not completed their probationary period.

"We want to encourage all members of the campus community to nominate staff who deserve recognition," said Keiko Kubo, chair of the Chancellor's Staff Advisory Committee.

The Chancellor's Outstanding Staff Award goes to those who have contributed in an outstanding manner to the University's mission of teaching, research and public service by acting as a role model for the campus community, consistently performing their job at an outstanding level, and contributing to the campus community in other significant ways.

For information and or a nomination form, see the CSAC web site at http://campus.chance.berkeley.edu/csac/ or call 642-8117 or 642-9689.
