Campus Charitable Campaign: Do You Have a Story to Tell?

Posted February 3, 1999

Believe it or not, it's not too late to contribute to the 1998 Charitable Campaign, or to share with campus the experience you may have had with your designated charitable organization.

So far, nearly 450 campus staff and faculty have made pledges, totaling approximately $164,000, for their favorite charitable organizations. That leaves $86,000 to meet campus's $250,000 goal.

Faculty and staff may still contribute to any nonprofit organization of their choice -- either in a single check or credit card payment, or through monthly payroll deductions.

This year, through a special arrangement, 100 percent of the amount donated through the Charitable Campaign will go directly to designated charities.

If you have made a pledge to the campus's Charitable Campaign in recent years and would like to tell others about your experience with a charitable organization you gave to, contact Berkeleyan at cac@pa.urel.berkeley.edu or 643-9259.

If you wish to make a pledge, click on the Charitable Campaign button from the campus home page (www.berkeley.edu) and download a form, or call 642-3734. Contributions may be sent to Larry Sautter, University Cashier, 140 University Hall, MC 1111.
