Restoring "The Hawk for Peace"



Sculptor Alexander Calder's "The Hawk for Peace" on display in front of the Berkeley Art Museum is getting a major makeover, starting this week. With the removal of scaleand rust, and application of new primer and matte black paint, the piece will be restored to its original glory. For story see Conserving Calder.
