Chancellor's staff committee searching for new members

18 October 00 | The Chancellor's Staff Advisory Committee is recruiting new members to serve three-year terms beginning in January.

The application deadline is Friday, Nov. 10.

The committee is comprised of staff employees from different control units and staff employee programs. All non-academic career employees, with the exception of the executive-tier appointees, are eligible to apply.

The group serves as a useful venue for staff input and resource for campus administration. As a confidential committee, it advises the chancellor and administration on non-bargainable staff issues and provides staff input during policy formulation and implementation processes.

Staff interested in serving can attend one of several brown-bag information session. These will be held at noon on Oct. 18 (Education Room, Tang Center), Oct. 23 (290 Cesar Chavez Student Union), Nov. 2 (Education Room, Tang Center) and Nov. 7 (290 Cesar Chavez Student Union).

Information and electronic copies of the application form can be found at http://campus.chance.berkeley.edu/csac/. Interested staff should contact Margaret Baker at 642-5601 (margaret@socrates.berkeley.edu) or Jerlena Griffin (jerlena@ uclink4.berkeley.edu).
