Power
restored to all UC Berkeley buildings following March 7 campuswide power
outage.

As
of 5:15 p.m. Friday, March 8, electricity was restored to all buildings
on the campus of the University of California, Berkeley. The last buildings
to be powered back up were Etcheverry Hall, North Gate Hall and Soda
Hall.
Shortly
after 5 p.m. on Thursday, March 7, a major failure in one of the five
campus electrical switching stations caused a campuswide power outage.
Within six hours, power was restored to most of the buildings on campus.
