Tell us your stories about Katrina recovery efforts

The campus community is helping in compelling ways in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina — and we want the public to know. If you know of ways that UC Berkeley faculty, staff, students, or alumni are getting involved, please send news tips to the UC Berkeley Office of Public Affairs at newstips@berkeley.edu.

Specifically, we'd like to know about:

  • New Berkeley research projects to aid Katrina victims, analyze the disaster, or help rebuild or restore the devastated area.
  • Faculty, staff, students, or alumni who are involved in significant relief efforts and who could correspond with the campus via dispatches from the field.
  • Berkeley faculty who are willing to talk to reporters about their areas of expertise related to the Gulf Coast disaster. A list of experts is managed by Public Affairs.

Thanks for sharing your news and ideas.
