Short release on Kaczynski

Berkeley -- Theodore John Kaczynski was hired as an assistant professor of mathematics at the University of California at Berkeley for the 1967-68 and 1968-69 school year. He voluntarily resigned from university employment, effective 6/30/69.

The general catalog for thye 1968-69 academic year shows Kaczynski was scheduled to teach four

courses: Number Systems, Introduction to the Theory of Sets, General Topology and Function Spaces.

He is the author of six professional papers published 1965 through 1969. (Handout available)

The Campus Directory for 1967-68 lists Theodore J. Kaczynski residing at 2628A Regent St., Berkeley.

His official "Bio-Bibliography" lists his degrees as follows: B.A. Harvard, 1962; Univ. of Mich., '64, Ph.D., University of Michigan, 1967.

Under previous employment, he lists the University of Michigan, teaching fellow Sept. 62 - June 63, Sept. 63 - May 64, Sept. 64 - May 65.
